First witness of the Uiseong wildfire: "I caught the shrine visitor rushing down hurriedly."

According to reports from Euisung County, Gyeongbuk on the 23rd, resident A of Goe-san 1-ri village heard that a wildfire had broken out on a hilltop in Goe-san-ri, Anpyeong-myeon, Euisung County, at around 11:24 a.m. the previous day, and he was the first to head to the scene of the fire.

At around 11:55 a.m., approximately 30 minutes after the fire broke out, Mr. A arrived near the scene and encountered a group of visitors descending from the site of the fire.

Mr. A claimed, "I encountered a crowd of hurriedly descending visitors paying respects. When I asked where they were going, they couldn't answer."

He then said, "When they hesitated and tried to leave, I thought it wouldn't be good, so I took pictures of the car license plates (of the group of ancestral memorial visitors) and warned them not to run away," and claimed, "Later, the police took them away."

A lighter was found at the scene of the fire.
