Pregnant woman collapsed at Incheon Airport, found a hospital after over 2 hours, gave birth by ambulance

A foreign pregnant woman who collapsed at Incheon International Airport searched for an obstetrics and gynecology clinic for over two hours before being taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

I gave birth to a baby boy.

According to the Incheon Fire Department Headquarters on the 17th, at around 12:20 PM the previous day, on the 3rd floor of Incheon Airport Terminal 1,

A 31-year-old Vietnamese woman was reported to have collapsed to 119.

The emergency team arrived at the scene and found Ms. A, who is suspected to be pregnant, in a situation where communication was impossible.

Prepared to transfer to Inha University Hospital due to complaints of abdominal pain.

However, Inha University Hospital informed us that "delivery and acceptance are difficult," and nearby other hospitals

I also answered that it is difficult to accept patients.

 

The emergency medical team inquired about hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province with the 119 Emergency Situation Management Center, but "the gestational age must be confirmed."

I received a response that I can provide medical treatment.

Mr. A continued to wait in the ambulance after arriving in front of Inha University Hospital.

He experienced severe pain and his amniotic sac also ruptured.

Ultimately, the firefighters prepared for an emergency delivery and at 2:33 PM on the same day, 2 hours and 13 minutes after the report was received,

Mr. A safely gave birth to Nam-a inside the ambulance.

The fire department official stated, "While looking for another hospital, the labor pains worsened, and an emergency delivery was performed inside the ambulance."

It was said that after childbirth, the mother and newborn are being transferred to Inha University Hospital for treatment.
