Amazing popularity felt... 'Korean ramen' sold a staggering 5 million packs in just 3 months since its release
A Korean ramen that sold 5 million bowls in just three months since its release is becoming a hot topic.
Harim's seafood ramen, 'The Misk (The Misk) Squid Ramen,' released in December last year, has become a huge hit.
According to Harim, the "Dummy-style Squid Ramen" surpassed 5 million packages in cumulative sales within just three months of its release (as of the 4th). It is experiencing explosive popularity, with about 10,000 packages sold in a single day on some online and offline channels.
'Dummy-style squid ramen' is aiming to establish itself in the domestic market and also expand into overseas markets. Especially domestically, thanks to positive consumer reactions, it is aiming to sell a total of 20 million packs by the end of this year.
In this regard, Yun A-in, the ramen brand manager (BM) at Harim Marketing Headquarters, recently said in an interview with Dailyan, "Ramen has traditionally been perceived mainly as a quick meal to fill oneself, but I wanted to break that perception and make it a well-prepared meal. We developed a product that allows you to enjoy seafood ramen from Jeju Island at home."
He added, "In the future, we aim to establish ourselves as a steady seller product rather than a fleeting trend, by engaging consumers through various promotions within sales channels and collaborations with other brands. We also plan to actively participate in tasting sampling through food trucks and other means."
'Dummy-style squid ramen' is a ramen that features a clear and spicy broth, capturing the deep flavor of the main ingredient, squid, according to Harim.
According to Harim, the "Dummy-style Squid Ramen" is made with a seafood broth carefully brewed from five types of seafood, including squid, shrimp, anchovies, scallops, mussels, and pollock, adding a refreshing flavor. It also includes domestic radish, Cheongyang chili peppers, and red pepper powder to create a spicy taste.
Large pieces of freeze-dried squid are added as ingredients to enhance the chewy texture. Additionally, dried bok choy, dried green onions, dried seaweed, and dried carrots are combined to provide a rich flavor.
'Dummy-style squid ramen' is made by carefully brewing the broth and kneading it into the noodles to enhance the savory flavor, while ensuring that the refreshing and clean seafood broth well soaks into the noodles.
