Even in her nineties, wearing dresses and high heels... Famous designer's 'six meals a day' longevity diet
Famous fashion designer Carolina Herrera (86) revealed her 'longevity diet' that allows her to maintain a healthy and slim body by eating six meals a day.
Recently, the British media The Sun stated, "Designer legend Herera knows how to age gracefully. He maintains a stylish physique that complements his short haircut with hair swept back," and introduced Herera's longevity diet.
Herera, a Venezuelan-American, has been running her own brand named after herself until 2019. Even in her over 80s, she has always appeared at official events with a youthful fashion sense. In a previous magazine interview, she revealed that she does not follow a special diet to maintain her slim figure, saying, "I eat six meals a day."
Here, she actually eats more meals and snacks than ordinary people. Her management principle for dieting is that she should not go to bed hungry.
Hera stated that her diet allows her to stay energetic throughout the day. Her diet consists of three balanced meals and healthy snacks that activate metabolism and help avoid energy decline.
My favorite breakfast is scrambled eggs with truffle.
Sometimes I enjoy simpler meals. Depending on my mood that day, I have a bowl of Greek yogurt topped with fresh fruits like strawberries, blueberries, and bananas for breakfast. To feel full, I also sprinkle a small amount of granola or almonds.
A breakfast menu that appropriately combines protein, fiber, and healthy fats helps promote satiety and energy.
For morning snacks, I eat a handful of almonds. On days when I want to eat fresh food, I replace it with fiber-rich fruits such as apples, strawberries, or pineapples.
Lunch is also healthy and simple. I eat a salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, avocados, and high-protein foods like grilled chicken or salmon. The dressing is simply made with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
In the afternoon, I enjoy drinking smoothies made by blending spinach, pineapple, cucumber, and ginger.
Dinner is light but nutritious. It includes grilled salmon with steamed asparagus and quinoa, but depending on the day, vegetable dishes may be replaced with spinach, broccoli, or other vegetables.
Salmon, which Herrera enjoys eating, is rich in omega-3 fatty acids that help reduce bodily inflammation. According to experts, consuming fatty fish helps maintain skin hydration and elasticity, and also benefits brain function.
Hera also has a late-night snack before going to bed. She avoids sugar and carbohydrates, but to relax, she drinks a warm herbal tea, and if she feels hungry, she eats a handful of nuts to satisfy her appetite.

It is said that it is important to have snacks in between meals.
And it's also good to eat light meals each time.
