커피가 좋다는 말이 있고 또 안좋다는 말도 있고 전문가 들도 상당수 의견이 팽팽히 갈리는게 커피인데 무엇보다 적당히가 답이지 안나 생각합니다. ^^
People who drink two to three cups of coffee a day have a lower risk of developing cardiometabolic diseases than those who drink less than one cup. The research results were released. Cardiometabolic multimorbidity refers to the simultaneous occurrence of two or more metabolic diseases, such as coronary artery disease, stroke, and diabetes.
A research team from Soochow Medical University in China analyzed 364,006 adults using data from the UK Biobank. Participants were categorized into two groups: those who consumed two to three cups of coffee per day (200-300 mg of caffeine) and those who consumed less than one cup per day (100 mg or less of caffeine).
The analysis found that people who drank two to three cups of coffee a day had a 48% lower risk of developing metabolic disease than those who drank less than one cup of coffee a day.
The research team analyzed that approximately 80 metabolites produced during coffee metabolism in the body improved cardiac metabolic function, thereby reducing the risk of disease. They also explained that the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of polyphenols contained in coffee also had a positive impact on metabolic health.
A recent domestic study found that coffee helps prevent metabolic syndrome. Professor Je Yu-jin's team from the Department of Food and Nutrition at Kyung Hee University analyzed the correlation between coffee consumption and metabolic syndrome in 14,631 adults who participated in the 2016-2021 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. The results showed that women who drank two to three cups of black coffee per day had a 34% lower risk of developing metabolic syndrome than those who did not. The research team attributed this to coffee's positive effects on blood HDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
However, if you're sensitive to caffeine, you should limit your coffee consumption. If you experience side effects like heart palpitations, nervousness, muscle tremors, headaches, or rapid heartbeat after drinking coffee, it's best to avoid it. Even if you don't experience side effects, consuming more than the recommended amount is not recommended. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety recommends a daily caffeine intake of 400 mg for adults.
It's also a mistake to overinterpret coffee as the sole means of improving heart metabolism. The lead researcher stated, "While this study confirmed coffee's metabolic health-enhancing effects, it was an observational study, so further research is needed." He added, "In addition to coffee consumption, maintaining a healthy metabolism requires regular exercise, quality sleep, and abstaining from smoking and drinking."
