There are foods that accelerate aging and make you look older than your actual age. Here is a report from the American health media WebMD about "foods that influence the rate of aging."

 

◇Spicy Food Eating spicy food raises body temperature. During the cooling process, blood vessels dilate and cause sweating, which then combines with skin bacteria to trigger inflammation. If inflammation persists over a long period, it becomes a chronic inflammatory state. This accelerates aging and increases the risk of various diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases. ◇Alcohol and caffeine skin is composed of 63% moisture, but consuming alcohol, caffeine, and other substances causes dehydration, leading to a deficiency of moisture. When skin moisture decreases, the skin becomes dry and aging phenomena such as wrinkles are more likely to occur. Furthermore, drinking water after alcohol consumption prioritizes hydration to other organs over the skin, accelerating skin aging.

 

Sodium, preservatives, and other additives used in processed meat production can cause inflammation in the body, accelerating aging. It is advisable to choose fresh meat whenever possible and to consume a proper balance of plant-based proteins such as beans and nuts in addition to animal proteins.

 

Fried foods generate reactive oxygen species. Their strong oxidative power attacks and damages normal cells, accelerating aging. During high-temperature cooking processes like frying, toxic compounds called advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) are produced, and excessive consumption can speed up aging. It is advisable to avoid high-temperature cooking methods such as frying and grilling whenever possible, and instead opt for boiling or steaming at lower temperatures with moisture.
