This time, I brought sugar with me as a helpful tip. It's not just regular sugar, but unrefined cane sugar.

Both white sugar and brown sugar are refined sugars. In other words, they are sugars that have undergone a refining process from raw sugar (raw material), leaving only the sugar itself. Because they contain only sugar, they became a condiment that dieters and those maintaining their weight tend to avoid, but since they are already widely used, it was impossible to change this overnight. As a substitute, stevia was introduced.

 

But even that was only for a brief moment, as people started to avoid it due to its distinctive artificial taste and bitterness. Of course, I did too!

 

I bought a bag of stevia and have almost used it all, with that much left on the left side, but I just can't bring myself to use it 🤣 And these days, sugar is coming back again, and that is unrefined cane sugar.

 

Unrefined cane sugar is unprocessed sugar that retains the vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber naturally present in sugarcane. It has no taste difference from refined sugar. It also does not have artificial flavors or bitterness like stevia. Of course, in terms of calories, it has calories unlike other zero-calorie products like stevia. However, if you have to consume it anyway, I recommend using unrefined cane sugar.

 

And my tip, which is just a tip, is that when making fruit syrup like fruit punch, the usual ratio of fruit to sugar is one-to-one, but in my case, I significantly reduce the amount of sugar to one-third. Because I'm on a diet 🤣

 

 

Don't ignore the sugar content of the fruit itself. My little one, who mixes the brewed fruit with milk to have as breakfast or a snack, always gives a thumbs up when eating! The day a friend came over, my mom's homemade brew was so delicious that she asked for some. Feeling proud for no reason 😏
