Method of intake:
After soaking fresh omija in honey or sugar to make omija syrup, it is diluted and consumed as omija tea or used as an ingredient in various dishes. Young shoots are also harvested and eaten as seasoned greens.

Nutritional content

I put 30g of omija into a strainer and soak it in 1 liter of water in the refrigerator for about a day.
You probably have no idea how much 30 grams actually is.
I have a measuring cup included with the children's cold medicine at home. After measuring about one cup, it weighs approximately 15 grams, so I pour two cups into a liter of water to steep.
When the water is 500ml, please add only 15g, equivalent to 1 cup.
After a day passes and it turns red and boils, drinking a cup each time you feel thirsty helps relieve your thirst and also replenishes your fluids, so it's good.
As someone on a diet, I find that omija water brewed in cold water tastes better than the sweet and sour omija syrup juice.
Schisandra berries are also good for fatigue recovery, so after exercising in the morning, having a refreshing glass helps relieve fatigue and quench thirst. Honestly, during the summer, there's nothing better than brewed Schisandra berry water.
It's okay to brew and drink it with warm water, but I found that it tastes more bitter when brewed with warm water.
So, during the summer, I brew and drink it with cold water.
