It's so delicious... when you're having a meal of corn, add 'this'.

Corn is so rich in vitamins and minerals that it is considered one of the world's top three crops, alongside wheat and rice. While some people occasionally substitute a meal with corn, doing so incorrectly can lead to excessive carbohydrate intake. Let's explore the benefits of corn and how to consume it healthily.

◇ Low in fat and rich in dietary fiber

Corn is low in fat and rich in dietary fiber, which increases satiety and reduces appetite. It contains a significant amount. It is known that one ear of corn contains about 10g of soluble dietary fiber, which is equivalent to the amount found in five kiwis or seven peaches. According to the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in the United States, consuming 10g of soluble dietary fiber per day can even help eliminate visceral fat. The corn germ contains unsaturated fatty acids, which can also help expel blood cholesterol from the body.

◇ Add milk for nutritional balance

While corn is rich in beneficial nutrients, there is just one thing missing: the essential amino acids lysine and tryptophan. Since the body cannot synthesize essential amino acids, they must be obtained from external sources, and milk is abundant in both. Lysine facilitates the absorption of calcium, while tryptophan helps alleviate depression by aiding the synthesis of serotonin, often called the "happiness hormone." Milk prevents choking when eating only corn. I could do it.

◇ Caution against excessive carbohydrate intake

Some people occasionally substitute corn for meals, but this is not good. If you eat only corn without side dishes, you can consume more than a bowl of white rice. Although it varies by size, the kernels of a single ear of glutinous corn weigh about 100g, so eating two ears is equivalent to a bowl of rice. Eating a lot of corn naturally increases carbohydrate intake.

Excessive carbohydrate intake leads to hunger quickly later on, causing you to seek snacks. To prevent overeating and getting hungry again soon, it is recommended to eat side dishes along with corn, sweet potatoes, potatoes, and rice cakes when consuming them as meal replacements. It is best to include meat, fish, and salad to ensure a balanced intake of protein and minerals.

one side, If you usually have poor digestion, you should not eat too much corn. Corn is slow to digest, so it can interfere with the digestive process. Because of its high glycemic index, if you are a diabetic patient, reduce other meals and limit the amount to one ear or less when eating corn. You have to eat.

================

I've heard that some people occasionally eat corn as a meal replacement.

I think it's just right to eat as a snack.

Starting with super sweet corn

Even sweet corn these days...

It tastes good whether you eat it on its own or add it to rice.
