For example, a person weighing around 70kg burns 156 kcal by walking at 5.6 km/h for 30 minutes, and can burn 356 kcal by running at 9.6 km/h.

Starch must be chosen wisely. Although starch is composed of glucose, resistant starch contains about 90% dietary fiber. Resistant starch is not digested until it reaches the small intestine and is fermented by beneficial bacteria. The byproducts produced during this process help improve insulin resistance, which plays a significant role in breaking down fat accumulated around the waist.

 

Surprisingly, it is also important to consistently consume lean meat, which is high in protein. We prefer meats like pork belly that have a moderate amount of fat mixed in, as they improve both texture and flavor. A moderate amount of fat adds a nutty taste and stimulates our appetite; however, it is a food to avoid if you want to lose belly fat. Instead of meat with fat, it is better to consume lean meats such as chicken breast or pork neck, which help reduce belly fat. As mentioned earlier, lean meats help boost metabolism, which aids in burning fat.

Reducing total calorie intake is important. Generally, if you consume about 500 kcal less than your daily energy requirement, you can expect to lose approximately 0.5 to 1 kg of weight per week. In such cases, it is also effective in reducing abdominal fat and waist circumference, and if this diet is properly followed, it is possible to lose about 10% of your original weight in six months.
