Broccoli
Broccoli contains a plant compound called sulforaphane, which has anti-cancer properties, as well as a variety of antioxidant components such as vitamin C, vitamin K, carotenoids, and flavonoids. These antioxidants help reduce inflammation in the body and strengthen the immune system, aiding in cancer prevention. According to previous studies, sulforaphane reduced the size and number of breast cancer cells by up to 75%. Carrot=Carrots are rich in an antioxidant substance called beta-carotene. Soybean=Soybeans are rich in antioxidants, which help reduce inflammation in the body and prevent cell damage. Additionally, soybeans are high in fiber, which can help prevent colon cancer. A 2006 study involving 1,905 individuals with a history of colon tumors found that those who cooked and consumed dried soybeans had a lower risk of tumor recurrence compared to the control group. Other animal studies also showed that feeding soybeans to mice and inducing colon cancer resulted in up to 75% inhibition of cancer cell development.
Berries=Vitamin C and other nutrients found in berries help strengthen the immune system and increase resistance to cancer. A strong immune system is important for recognizing and attacking cancer cells. Additionally, berries are rich in a plant pigment called anthocyanin, which has antioxidant properties and may help reduce cancer risk. A small study observed that 25 colorectal cancer patients experienced a 7% decrease in cancer cell growth rate after treatment with berry extract. Another small study found that freeze-dried black raspberry powder helped lower specific markers associated with cancer progression in oral cancer patients.
Nuts=Nuts are rich in powerful antioxidants such as vitamin E, selenium, and polyphenols. They also provide high-quality plant-based protein, which can support bodily functions and help strengthen the immune system. Previously, protein was known to support cell growth and repair, playing a role in suppressing the development of cancer.
In a study conducted in 2015, analysis of the diets of 19,386 people revealed that those who consumed more nuts had a lower risk of dying from cancer. A review in 2015 analyzed the results of a study involving 30,708 participants and found that regular nut consumption was associated with a reduced risk of colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, and endometrial cancer.
