Detox methods according to 'toxicity symptoms'

Detox methods according to 'toxicity symptoms'

Chronic fatigue and decreased concentration: Liver detox

If liver function declines and the body cannot eliminate heavy metals and other toxins, fatigue occurs, concentration decreases, and even the same amount of alcohol causes more severe intoxication than usual. It is recommended to drink juice made from mushrooms, asparagus, spinach, and other vegetables instead of rice every three months for 2-3 days. These contain vitamins B, magnesium, and amino acids that help the liver's detoxification function. During this period, avoid red meat and cigarettes. The cholesterol in meat and cadmium in cigarettes interfere with detoxification. However, if you already have liver disease, you should avoid drinking green juice that concentrates certain nutrients.

When experiencing gas in the stomach: bowel detox

Endotoxins produced during the body's metabolic processes are eliminated by probiotics. If endotoxins are not detoxified, they descend into the large intestine and produce gas, causing constant bloating in the lower abdomen. During the weekend, detoxification through intermittent fasting can stimulate metabolism and promote active intestinal function because the body continues to operate without incoming energy sources. If you cannot resist hunger, drink a glass of fruit juice at mealtime. Weekend fasting, even for a short period, can be taxing on the body, so those with underlying health conditions should consult their primary care physician beforehand. Patients with hyperthyroidism, hemorrhagic gastric ulcers, anemia, or diabetes should not undergo intestinal detoxification through fasting.

When your hands and feet go numb and cramp: Blood detox

When toxins such as cholesterol and lactic acid accumulate in the blood, hands and feet become cold, cramps occur, and muscle pain develops. There are two detox methods for this situation. People who do not usually exercise should engage in static exercises like yoga and stretching for a month. Conversely, those who exercise frequently and have accumulated a lot of lactic acid should take a 3-4 day break from exercise. Lying down and practicing abdominal breathing for 10 minutes before bed increases the amount of oxygen entering the body, which helps with detoxification. During this period, once in the morning or evening, eat a salad made by mixing vegetables and fruits in an 8:2 ratio instead of a regular meal.

For skin troubles: skin detox

Toxins such as ultraviolet rays and reactive oxygen species accumulate in the skin, leading to increased itching, more dead skin cells, and wrinkles. Skin troubles like pimples also occur. Receiving appropriate dermatological treatment while taking steam baths or hot and cold baths helps with skin detoxification. Changes in body temperature stimulate peripheral organs and skin cells, aiding in the removal of toxins. A steam bath involves opening all windows at home, wearing only underwear, wrapping the body with a blanket, and then removing the blanket, repeating this process about five times at two-minute intervals. For hot and cold baths, the body is alternately immersed in cold water (around 18°C) and warm water (around 41°C) for one minute each, repeating five times.
