Diseases that are dangerous to my body if I drink less water
<Drinking Less Water Can Be Dangerous to My Body>
1) Obesity and Diabetes
Based on data from the U.S. National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.
According to research, people who drink an average of 1.53 liters of water per day consume 194 kcal less than those who do not. Drinking water increases satiety, reduces food intake, and helps prevent obesity.
A survey was conducted with 3,615 middle-aged men and women in France.
As a result, compared to the group that drinks less than 500mL of water per day, the group that drinks between 500 and 1,000mL shows a 68% reduction in the risk of developing hyperglycemia, and those who consume more than 1,000mL experience a 79% reduction. Insufficient fluid intake increases blood glucose levels, thereby raising the risk of hyperglycemia.
2) Bladder cancer and colon cancer
When fluid intake decreases, the concentration of carcinogens in urine increases.
There is research indicating that prolonged contact with the bladder mucosa increases the risk of bladder cancer. The same applies to colon cancer.
Drinking enough water can reduce the transit time of stool through the colon, potentially providing a protective effect against the development of colon cancer.
3) Cognitive function
There is research indicating that mild dehydration can cause various cognitive changes such as impaired concentration, alertness, and short-term memory. If dehydration persists in the body, cortisol levels, a stress hormone, increase, which can lead to a decline in cognitive abilities such as memory.
The habit of drinking water frequently seems really good. Since it is said to cause various diseases, staying hydrated is always important.
