On YouTube, they say to add 1 cup of soy sauce, 3 cups of water, and half a cup each of vinegar, sugar, and plum extract.

My mother said to first add soy sauce and water in a 1:1 ratio, and vinegar and sugar in 1/3 cup.

He said to add more water if it's too thick, and to add more vinegar and sugar if it's too bland.
