My Healthy Food: Witch's Soup
I usually pay attention to weight control, so I often think about how to make foods that are full of nutrients without gaining weight. One day, I happened to come across [Witch's Soup].
When I first heard the term [Witch's Soup], I imagined a scene from the fairy tale "Hansel and Gretel" where the evil witch captures children and puts all sorts of strange things into a large cauldron to boil. Fortunately, it turned out to be a delicious, nutritious meal that I really enjoyed.
I also put a lot of the prepared ingredients into a large pot and boiled them. After cooling, I divided them into small portions in a microwave-safe side dish container, as shown in the picture above, and stored them in the refrigerator. Doing it this way makes it convenient to take out and eat whenever needed.
Although witch's soup recipes are available on the internet, I like to increase the quantities and add ingredients that seem healthy, so I have created my own [Witch's Soup].
I will tell you the order of making it. (1) Blanch the cherry tomatoes that have been scored in boiling water, then cool them in cold water and peel off the skins. (2) Cut ingredients such as cabbage, broccoli, onion, and king oyster mushrooms into small pieces that are easy to eat in one bite. (3) Heat olive oil in a pot, add the chopped cabbage and onion, and sauté over low heat until semi-transparent. (4) Add pasta sauce to the remaining vegetables, pour enough water to cover the ingredients, and simmer for about 15 minutes over medium-low heat. (5) When you think all the ingredients are cooked, season with salt and pepper, and optionally add curry powder according to your taste.
I like bok choy, so I added extra. To give it a spicy flavor, I lightly added 1-2 chili peppers. If you don't have time to boil it multiple times, it's very convenient to boil it thoroughly like I did, then store it in a small microwave-safe container and keep it in the refrigerator.
I think protein intake is necessary. I finely chopped lean beef and added it, and it turned out well. If you like chicken, you can also finely chop chicken breast and add it. I initially used beef, but for the second time, I tried using chicken breast. Feel free to cook it however you like. Well.
Oh, by the way... while chopping onions, a spoonful of tears also went in, giving it a salty flavor, but maybe it's just my imagination?
Don't think it's difficult, everyone, and give it a try. Just imagine throwing in all the vegetables you have at home or your favorite greens.
If it's not spicy, kids will probably eat it well... The first time is difficult, but once you try it, the cooking time gradually decreases, and you develop creativity, which is great. Let's challenge ourselves with the 【Witch's Soup】, which is low in calories, easy on the stomach, and won't cause weight gain. Fighting! (I initially decided on ABC juice but changed it to Witch's Soup. If I get another chance next time......)
