Let's follow the proper order of eating during meals^^
I had surgery earlier this year due to illness and am working hard to recover through diet control and exercise. It turns out that the illnesses I experience are related to my poor eating habits and behaviors. I am making an effort to eat healthy foods and gradually build my stamina by walking. Currently, I am also adding stair climbing to strengthen my lower body muscles.
Among them, improving my eating habits was really difficult, and as a bread and rice enthusiast, I still occasionally indulge in cheat days, but I am overcoming it while being called a stubborn girl almost every day.
My method is to eat vegetables, then proteins and fats, followed by carbohydrates. By following this order, I sometimes feel full when eating carbs, but the goal is to prevent blood sugar spikes and reduce sugar intake. Carbohydrates are counted as sugars.
Carbohydrates are present in almost all the foods we eat. Vegetables, dairy products, and tofu also contain carbs. So, even if I don't eat rice, I am still consuming carbohydrates from other foods. I don't eat white rice, noodles, or sugar. It would be accurate to say I hardly eat them. When I really want to eat something, or during social gatherings, I do eat them if I can't help it^^ I try to avoid eating them as much as possible. It was difficult at first, but I guess it became a habit, so now it's not very hard to avoid them. I am also managing my cholesterol by significantly reducing my carbohydrate intake.
It's also good to drink plenty of water. For me, drinking water frequently is harder than not eating carbs;;^^ I only have one cup of coffee a day, and I try to replace other drinks with tea to reduce caffeine intake.
Vegetables, protein and fat, carbohydrates in this order.
I will only eat carbohydrates when I really want to, and not eat them otherwise.
Fluid intake.
Light exercise such as walking that causes slight shortness of breath.
