9 Anti-Aging Foods

 

1. Green tea

A study from Japan has shown that people who drink three cups of green tea daily tend to live longer.

Green tea is rich in EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), a powerful antioxidant.

This ingredient reduces the risk of heart disease, Alzheimer's disease, and various types of cancer.

One of the antioxidant components in green tea, catechin, is said to prevent the development of glaucoma.

 

2. Fish

Salmon, tuna, mackerel, and other fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

Omega-3 fatty acids have the ability to combat diseases caused by aging and frailty, such as cardiovascular diseases.

The American Heart Association recommends eating fish about twice a week.

 

3. Nuts

Eating 2 ounces (about 57 grams) of nuts such as walnuts, almonds, pine nuts, and peanuts daily provides sufficient intake of omega-3 fatty acids.

Omega-3 fatty acids have the ability to combat inflammation. According to a study, people who ate nuts daily had a 60% lower risk of heart attack compared to those who ate nuts less than once a month.

 

4. Dark chocolate

Research has shown that chocolate promotes brain function and lowers blood pressure.

According to a study conducted in Germany, eating even a small amount of chocolate daily can reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke by 40%.

 

5. Coffee

It is rich in antioxidants~ There is a study that drinking 3 to 5 cups of coffee daily can reduce the risk of dementia by 65%.

There are also research findings that coffee significantly reduces the risk of developing heart disease, gout, prostate cancer, colon cancer, and type 2 diabetes.

 

6. Wine

Drinking about two glasses of wine daily can help prevent heart disease, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, obesity, cavities, and several types of cancer.

Wine is said to reduce lesions before the onset of skin cancer and protect the skin.

 

7. Berries

Berries such as acai berries, raspberries, and blueberries are rich in antioxidants called anthocyanins.

Anthocyanins have the effect of slowing down aging. Eating a cup of fresh or frozen berries daily is said to help eliminate inflammation that leads to aging.

 

8. Tomato

It contains a large amount of lycopene, a type of antioxidant. Lycopene keeps the skin youthful and reduces the risk of heart disease and several types of cancer.

A study has shown that men who eat tomatoes or tomato-containing foods about 10 times a week have a 45% reduced risk of developing prostate cancer.

 

9. Broccoli

It contains various vitamins and minerals such as chromium. These ingredients are said to slow down aging processes and promote brain function.

Sulforaphane found in broccoli has the effect of reducing the risk of heart disease, stroke, and cancer.

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about anti-aging. I realized that, contrary to what I previously knew, there are many comprehensive aspects to anti-aging as well.

I used to think that wine was only an alcoholic beverage containing alcohol and believed that consuming alcohol would have negative effects. However, it turns out that dark chocolate and coffee also have benefits for anti-aging.
