1. Incorrect shampooing method

However, using too much shampoo can be harmful to scalp health, so it is important to use an appropriate amount suitable for your hair volume.

After squeezing the shampoo into your hand, do not directly rub it onto your scalp. Instead, lather it thoroughly with both hands until a lot of foam is produced, then evenly apply it throughout your hair and rinse.

Additionally, some people like to scratch their scalp vigorously with their fingernails while washing their hair because they believe it makes their scalp feel refreshed.

If your nails are long or you don't wash your hands frequently, bacteria can accumulate between your nails, which may lead to scalp infections.

Wash your hands thoroughly before shampooing, keep your nails clean at all times, and gently with the fingerprinted areas of your hands.

2. Incorrect drying method

Drying your hair with hot air increases the temperature of the scalp and stimulates the hair follicles. Additionally, it can cause the scalp to become excessively dry or disrupt the moisture and oil balance, leading to hair loss. Therefore, it is better to dry your hair with cold air or natural air instead of hot air.

Conversely, not drying your hair at all because using a hairdryer is considered harmful to the scalp can also cause hair loss.

6. Alcohol consumption and smoking

Drinking alcohol raises body temperature. Alcohol interferes with blood circulation and also increases scalp heat, which can lead to hair loss.

Eating greasy foods as snacks also causes fat to accumulate on the scalp, promoting hair loss.
