넘 수고하셨네요 빈혈기만 보이면 먼저 산부인과에서 검사부터 하네요...
I had surgery for a large uterine fibroid at Yesu Hospital.
It's time for a health checkup. In the previous year's results, there was no anemia, but in this year's results, anemia was detected. The doctor advised that I must undergo a gynecological examination, and if nothing abnormal is found there, I should also have a colonoscopy. Usually, women are told that the cause of anemia can often be identified through gynecological exams. As expected, the cause of my anemia was found during the gynecological exam. During the ultrasound for cancer screening at the gynecology clinic, they discovered a large tumor caused by a uterine fibroid. The next day, a detailed examination confirmed it was a giant fibroid over 10 centimeters, and since I have no plans for childbirth, the doctor recommended surgery. I had another exam at Jesus Hospital and scheduled the surgery date.
Before I knew I had a uterine fibroid, my bleeding was light during that period. However, about a year before I was diagnosed with the fibroid, my bleeding suddenly increased significantly, and during that time I often felt dizzy and would lie down after work. It turned out that the increased menstrual bleeding caused anemia due to the uterine fibroid.
At Jesus Hospital, they said that removing the uterine fibroids would eliminate anemia and there would be no discomfort in daily life, and since they wouldn't touch the ovaries, there would be no impact on female hormones, so I was advised to undergo the surgery with peace of mind. They also mentioned that the surgery would be performed laparoscopically, leaving almost no scars, which eased the burden of the procedure and made it more comfortable.
I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy. When I was first examined, my condition had worsened by the time of surgery, and I was told, "You made a good decision to have the surgery. Since it was done laparoscopically, there are almost no scars, and now I can live healthily without anemia." As Director Kim Kyung-ah mentioned, my anemia disappeared after the surgery, dizziness went away, and I am very satisfied with my recovery.
If you are young and have a uterine fibroid, it can be difficult to undergo surgery, but if you are of a certain age and have already finished childbirth, and the fibroid is very large, it might be better to consider surgery at the hospital rather than living with difficulty.
I am satisfied because my anemia disappeared after the surgery, and I can live without dizziness. During the hot summer months, there is no such period, so I don't feel any inconvenience in my daily life, and I am living very happily.
If a person who previously had no anemia suddenly experiences dizziness and develops anemia, it is recommended to undergo a gynecological examination.
It could also be anemia caused by uterine fibroids like mine.
While searching to upload a photo of the hospital where I had surgery, I found a picture of Director Kim Kyung-ah, who performed my surgery, receiving an award, so I am posting it^^
Because the department head is cheerful, kind, and approachable, I was left with a good impression.
