I've suffered from cystitis for a while. There are various causes, but I've had acute cystitis due to stress and a weakened immune system.
I'll share the early symptoms I experienced and four preventative measures I've used.
First, as an early symptom, I felt like I had to urinate even after I did, so I kept wanting to go to the bathroom. Another early symptom was that when I tried to urinate while sitting on the toilet, it didn't come out right away, and I had to wait a long time to do my business.
Other symptoms included pain during urination, pain in the lower back and above the pubic bone, and hematuria, which is blood in the urine.
I didn't even know that this symptom was a symptom of cystitis, so I went to the gynecologist and was told that it was cystitis, and that's when I learned about the disease.
There are various causes of cystitis.
It can occur when internal bacteria proliferate abnormally, or it can be caused by stress.
Cystitis is broadly divided into acute and chronic. Acute cystitis is caused by bacterial invasion and can also be caused by fatigue.
I couldn't go to the bathroom on time and got acute cystitis due to stress.
After taking medication prescribed by my OB/GYN, my initial symptoms significantly improved. I also took various preventative measures to prevent cystitis. I'll share with you the preventative measures I used.
1. I prevented it by using a regular cleanser and keeping my genitals clean when showering.
2. I drank 2 liters of water a day to help naturally flush out bacteria from my bladder through urine and prevent it.
3. The habit of not holding urine for too long also helps prevent it.
4. Rebuilding your immune system through sufficient rest and sleep also greatly helps prevent cystitis.
Fortunately, I am living a healthy life these days as the cystitis has not recurred.
Cystitis is a common disease like a cold, so it is important to prevent it in advance by maintaining good lifestyle habits.
