Incheon Bupyeong Eye Clinic and Bupyeong Yonsei Eye Clinic Visit Review
This is a review of my visit to Incheon Bupyeong Yonsei Eye Clinic due to dry eyes.
Lately, my eyes have been feeling dry and sore, especially after staring at a computer or phone for long periods of time. The dryness was so severe that I couldn't even open my eyes properly in the morning, so I ended up visiting an ophthalmologist.
I made an appointment at an ophthalmologist near my home. After a basic vision test and intraocular pressure measurement, I underwent a tear film test and slit-lamp examination. The examination process was simpler than I expected and was painless.
The doctor said it was dry eye syndrome...
Especially these days, with so much smartphone and monitor use and frequent exposure to indoor air conditioning, it can happen to anyone. They said I have a low tear production...ㅠㅠ
And as for treatment and prescription,
1. Artificial tears (preservative-free): Use 4-5 times a day.
2. Eyelid warm compress: Apply warm compress around the eyes for 10 to 15 minutes a day.
3. Adjust your monitor usage habits: The 20-20-20 rule (look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds after 20 minutes of use)
He also recommended a special cleanser, saying that eyelid cleanliness is important.
By consistently using artificial tears and applying a compress every night, my eyes definitely felt less dry. Above all, I realized that maintaining humidity and taking frequent breaks to avoid straining my eyes was crucial.
