The human brain ages three times in a lifetime... It ages rapidly at this age

The human brain ages three times in a lifetime... It ages rapidly at this ageHuman aging varies depending on individual characteristics. However, it has been revealed that all human brains suddenly age rapidly at a certain point in time. A new study confirmed that 13 proteins related to brain aging show a sharp increase in levels at ages 57, 70, and 78.

Recently, researchers at Zhengzhou University First Affiliated Hospital in China published these findings in the international journal 'Nature Ageing.' The researchers stated that this may be a critical point in time when interventions are needed to keep the brain healthier for longer.

The researchers identified 13 proteins strongly associated with brain aging. Proteins related to aging factors (such as cellular stress and inflammation) increased in blood concentration as biological age advanced. Conversely, the levels of proteins that help maintain brain function, including cell regeneration, decreased with age.

Brevican, one of the proteins identified by the researchers, showed the strongest correlation with biological brain age and was found to decrease in blood concentration with age. This decrease was strongly associated with diseases such as dementia and stroke. Brevican is known to assist communication between neurons. This discovery further supports previous research suggesting that this protein could serve as a measurable marker for the onset of neurodegenerative diseases.

In addition, the researchers discovered that the blood levels of 13 proteins related to brain aging peak at specific ages, namely 57, 70, and 78 years old.

This aligns with the research findings from Stanford University in the United States, which reveal that aging does not progress gradually as previously thought, but rather the body ages rapidly at specific times. According to a study published in 'Nature Aging' last August, the human body undergoes dramatic aging at ages 44 and 60.

As I get older, my brain also ages.

I feel like I can sense itㅠㅠ

There are research findings that consistent physical activity prevents cognitive decline.

People who regularly engage in high-intensity exercises such as aerobics or running have been found to experience brain aging approximately 10 years slower. It seems that exercise is indeed necessary^^
