In winter when temperatures drop, some people experience particularly cold and stiff hands and feet. If these symptoms recur, it is necessary to suspect Raynaud's phenomenon. Raynaud's phenomenon is a condition where the peripheral blood vessels in the hands and feet constrict severely, causing the extremities to become cold. There is a way to determine whether it is Raynaud's phenomenon or not within one minute.
In September, the UK charity Multiple Sclerosis and Raynaud's Association released four questions to determine if someone has Raynaud's syndrome in just one minute.
▲Are the hands and feet sensitive to the cold?
▲ Whether finger and toe colors change due to temperature or stress
▲ Whether the area where the color changes becomes numb or experiences severe pain
Have you ever had wounds or ulcers on your fingers or toes? If all of these apply, Raynaud's syndrome should be suspected.
Raynaud's phenomenon is a type of blood circulation disorder. It is normal for peripheral blood vessels to constrict appropriately in response to stimuli such as cold or stress, but in patients with Raynaud's phenomenon, the peripheral blood vessels constrict excessively, leading to reduced blood supply to extremities such as hands and feet. Even if symptoms of Raynaud's phenomenon are present, it does not necessarily mean treatment is required. Generally, Raynaud's phenomenon caused by cold or stress has mild symptoms and may improve on its own over time, so special treatment is not always necessary.
However, secondary Raynaud's syndrome must be treated and corrected alongside the underlying cause. Raynaud's syndrome is prone to occur due to vasoconstriction triggered by external stimuli not only from cold but also when the autonomic nervous system becomes sensitive, such as during childbirth or menopause.
Therefore, it mainly appears in women who have completed childbirth or in middle-aged women over 40 experiencing significant hormonal changes, and it may also occur alongside other conditions such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, hyperlipidemia, or disc problems.
To prevent Raynaud's syndrome, wear warm clothing such as gloves during winter and avoid exposing your skin to cold environments. If you smoke, quit smoking. Also, avoid foods and drinks containing caffeine, such as coffee, green tea, chocolate, and cold foods like ice. Keep not only your hands and feet but your entire body warm, and avoid cold air and water. Use warm water when washing your face or doing dishes, and after exposure to cold air, it is good to warm your body with foot baths or half-body baths.

I drank it with beer yesterday.
A little warmth is helpful for the body.
I also bought warm clothes and electric hand warmers.
