Most delivery foods are greasy and high in carbohydrates, which can hinder dieting. However, if you look carefully, there are foods that are high in protein or low in carbohydrates, which can help with dieting. Here are five types of delivery foods that are okay to order while dieting.

Taco = Tacos are a traditional Mexican dish made by filling tortillas with various ingredients such as meat, seafood, vegetables, and cheese. They are rich in dietary fiber and protein, making them filling. The taco shell, made from whole wheat flour, contains a lot of fiber and has a mild flavor. The quercetin in onions used in tacos helps regulate blood sugar levels and lowers blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Tomatoes are rich in antioxidants and are good for controlling blood sugar and blood pressure. Adding guacamole to tacos makes for a hearty meal. Guacamole is made from mashed avocados mixed with chopped onions and tomatoes, and it contains a large amount of unsaturated fatty acids. Unsaturated fatty acids help lower cholesterol levels, promote blood circulation, and prevent vascular diseases.

▶Salmon sashimi=According to the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), salmon contains 120 kcal per 100g, with 0g carbohydrates, 3.8g fat, and 20g protein, making it helpful for low-carb, high-protein diets and weight loss. Salmon contains DHA (a type of omega-3 fatty acid), which not only promotes healthy blood vessels but also prevents dry eyes. DHA helps develop brain cells and improves memory and learning ability. The tartar sauce delivered with the salmon sashimi contains mayonnaise, which is high in fat, so it is better to remove it before eating.

 

▶Jjimdak = Chicken contains more protein and unsaturated fatty acids, and less saturated fat compared to beef and pork. The arginine component in chicken is a type of essential amino acid that helps suppress post-meal blood sugar spikes. However, the glass noodles used in jjimdak are high in calories and carbohydrates, so it is better to remove the noodles before eating. If you want to eat noodles, you can add konjac noodles. Glass noodles have 358 kcal per 100g, but konjac has only 7 kcal per 100g.

▶Grilled chicken = Fried chicken uses a large amount of oil, resulting in high fat and calorie content. In contrast, grilled chicken is cooked without oil, so its calorie content is not significantly high. According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, 200g of fried chicken contains about 530 kcal, while 200g of grilled chicken contains about 308 kcal. Furthermore, the skin of fried chicken mostly contains liver and seasonings, and it also has a high amount of trans fats, which increase inflammation in the body, LDL cholesterol, and triglyceride levels.

▶Pasta=The main ingredient of pasta noodles, 'durum wheat,' has a higher protein content compared to other grains. Durum wheat's protein content is about 13-16%, which is twice that of rice. The coarse particles of durum wheat tend to break down slowly during digestion, causing carbohydrates to be absorbed into the body gradually. Thanks to this, blood sugar levels rise slowly. When ordering pasta delivery, it is recommended to choose oil-based or tomato-based pasta over rosé or cream pasta, which contain more sugar. Olive oil has the effect of lowering blood cholesterol levels and reducing the risk of cancer. Additionally, tomatoes used in tomato pasta are rich in lycopene, which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, making it beneficial for health.
