When there is not enough time for breakfast or when cooking is too bothersome, processed foods like cup noodles are often chosen. Is it really okay to eat these foods from the morning? Based on sources such as the women's lifestyle media 'SHEFINDS (shefinds.com)', nutritionists have compiled a list of processed foods that should no longer be consumed as breakfast.

 

Pastry=

Pastry is a baked good made by folding butter into flour dough and repeatedly rolling it out with a rolling pin to create multiple thin layers and a flaky texture. Examples include croissants and Danish pastries. Pastries and bread like donuts are convenient to carry and eat, and they pair well with coffee, making them popular choices for breakfast.

However, nutritionists warn that refined carbohydrates and high sugar content can be harmful to health. In particular, they are not good for gut health. Diets high in sugar promote an imbalance of gut bacteria and the proliferation of intestinal microorganisms.

 

Cereal with sugar

Most morning cereals, like pastries, contain added sugar and refined carbohydrates. Cereals with added sugar are especially considered to be foods that are bad for gut health.

 

Ramen=

Instant noodles contain high levels of sodium and include artificial flavorings and preservatives, which can cause bloating and water retention. Sodium plays a crucial role in regulating the body's fluid balance, but excessive intake through processed foods or foods with added salt can disrupt the balance of fluids and electrolytes.

 

Dietitians recommend that "avoiding pastries, ramen, and cereal in the morning is important for maintaining health," and suggest that instead of these processed foods, one should have a nutritious breakfast made from natural ingredients.
