"Only five times a year..." Park Jin-young, what food does he 'hold back' from for health?
Seeing that you are still actively involved these days, I think it's really impressive.
You still dance really well.
I hear this person is also very diligently practicing fasting..
Eating ramen only five times a year;;;;
It seems that taking care of my body is definitely essential~
I really like ramen too..
If you tell me not to eat at all, I don't think I can do that ㅠㅠ
I rinse the noodles once before eating.
Since it contains a lot of sodium, do not consume too much broth, and add plenty of vegetables instead~
Singer Park Jin-young (52) revealed that he eats ramen only five times a year for health reasons.
On the 9th, the YouTube channel 'JohnMaat' uploaded a video titled 'Why does Jooni keep whining... The appearance of the master of boyfriend photos, Park Jin-young, what is god? | Park Joon-hyung & Brian BYOB EP.6', featuring Park Jin-young as a guest. In this video, Park Jin-young candidly shared stories about his days with god, anecdotes with Park Joon-hyung, and his comeback songs. He is known for eating healthy foods regularly. Regarding this, Park Jin-young said, "The best way to maintain health and beauty is not 'eating something,' but 'not eating bad things,'" and added, "People keep asking me what I should eat, but it's not about what you should eat, it's about what you shouldn't eat." When Brian asked, "Do you completely avoid ramen?" Park Jin-young replied, "Honestly, I eat it about five times a year," and "Of course, I want to eat it every day," which made everyone laugh.
Not only Park Jin-young, but many people also avoid consuming ramen for health reasons. Famous fashion designer Ji Chun-hee (70) recently appeared on KBS 2TV's 'President's Ears Are Donkey Ears' and said, "I don't cook ramen," adding, "It's so delicious, but I resist." Ramen naturally contains a high amount of sodium, which can be problematic. Sodium is a major cause of swelling. Blood consists of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma, which is the liquid component. Plasma transports nutrients, hormones, and waste products throughout the body via blood vessels. When consuming foods high in sodium, plasma delivers large amounts of sodium to various cells. This causes an osmotic pressure phenomenon, leading cells to absorb water. The water that should circulate through blood vessels becomes trapped in cells, forming a kind of edema, which causes swelling, especially in the face where there are many capillaries, making it easier to swell. Sodium also increases the risk of high blood pressure. One serving of ramen contains an average of 1800 to 1900 mg of sodium. Just one bowl of ramen approaches the daily recommended sodium intake of 2000 mg. A study published in the Journal of the Korean Society of Nutrition showed that women who frequently consume noodles like ramen or udon have a higher risk of hypertension compared to women who do not. Women who ate noodles more than five times a week had a 2.3 times higher risk of developing hypertension than those who never ate them.
If you want to eat ramen healthily, you need to reduce the sodium content. The sodium in ramen is mostly contained in the soup. Try to leave as much broth as possible and avoid mixing rice into the soup. It is better to focus on eating the toppings. The best way is to add less soup from the beginning when boiling. An effective method is to first boil and remove the noodles, then separately boil and add the broth. This prevents the sodium in the soup from being absorbed into the noodles. According to research by the Department of Bio-Industry at Semyung University, boiling ramen with this method can reduce the sodium content by up to 27%. Eating foods that help excrete sodium is also helpful. Such foods include cabbage, seaweed, and onions. Especially, dietary fiber abundant in seaweed helps excrete sodium that is not absorbed in the intestines. The alginate in kelp also lowers cholesterol levels along with aiding sodium excretion.
