"'I will never eat this'... What is the secret to 70-year-old designer Ji Chun-hee's youthful appearance?"

I thought Ji Chun-hee looked very youthful, but she says she's 70 years old~

Ugh.. You usually don't eat ramen, but it turns out there's a secret to maintaining youthfulness.

That means managing to that extent..

How could you not eat ramen...

It's so delicious;;;

Don't eat too often..

Eat a little at a time, but since the broth is high in sodium, only have a small amount~

Fashion designer Ji Chun-hee (70) revealed that she usually does not eat ramen.

On the KBS 2TV show 'The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears' aired three days ago, Kim So-yeon asked Ji Chun-hee, "Do you also eat ramen?" In response, Ji Chun-hee said, "I don't cook or eat ramen," and "I don't buy ramen in the first place." She continued, "I dislike the temptation of ramen, so I don't buy or eat it," and "It's very delicious, but I resist." Jeon Hyun-moo then said, "I boiled and ate ramen at 1 a.m. yesterday," which made everyone laugh.

Basically, instant noodles contain a lot of sodium. Sodium is the main cause of swelling. Our blood consists of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma, which is the liquid component. Plasma travels through blood vessels, delivering nutrients, hormones, and waste products throughout the body. When we eat foods high in sodium at night, the plasma carries a large amount of sodium to various parts of the cells. At this time, due to osmosis, the cells also absorb water. The water that should circulate through the blood vessels becomes trapped in the cells, forming a kind of edema, which is especially prone to swelling in the face because there are many capillaries there.

The sodium in ramen can cause not only swelling but also high blood pressure. One serving of ramen contains an average of 1800 to 1900 mg of sodium. Eating just one bowl of ramen approaches the daily recommended intake of 2000 mg. According to a study published in the Journal of the Korean Society of Nutrition, women who frequently consume noodles such as ramen or udon have a higher risk of hypertension compared to women who do not. The study found that women who ate noodles five or more times a week had a 2.3 times higher risk of developing hypertension than those who did not eat noodles at all.

Furthermore, refined carbohydrates like ramen are not good for dieting or skin health. Refined carbohydrates have a high glycemic index (the degree of blood sugar rise), which easily leads to obesity. When consuming foods with a high glycemic index, blood sugar levels suddenly spike. To regulate this, insulin is also secreted rapidly. If insulin causes a rapid decrease in blood sugar, our bodies feel hungry again. As a result, overeating can occur. Additionally, consuming refined carbohydrates promotes carbohydrate loading (the body's ability to metabolize glucose), which increases the levels of a substance called 'IGF-1' in the body. When this substance increases, it can more easily trigger skin inflammation, leading to acne or folliculitis.
