The nighttime temperature has dropped significantly compared to when we suffered from tropical nights. If you feel like you slept deeply and woke up refreshed, it's not just your imagination. Sleep is closely related to body temperature.

 

A lower body temperature helps you sleep better.

 

To sleep soundly, your body temperature needs to drop slightly. The internal body temperature, known as 'core body temperature,' usually ranges between 36 and 37.5 degrees Celsius.

 

The core body temperature of a person lying down to sleep drops by 0.11 degrees compared to when awake, and after falling asleep, it decreases by 0.15 to 0.31 degrees. When the core body temperature drops, the sleep hormone melatonin is secreted, increasing the desire for sleep.

 

The time it takes to fall asleep decreases, and it becomes easier to sleep deeply. Conversely, when core body temperature rises, the desire to sleep decreases. If the ambient temperature does not drop below 25°C during the night, body temperature also does not decrease well, making it difficult to sleep soundly.

    요즘은 60% 정도 되는거 같아요
