맞아요 해수욕장에서 흔히 발생하는 사고죠 올 여름 휴가때 건강하게 잘보내고 오면 좋겠네요
After visiting the beach, heading to the emergency room... What is the most common injury from accidents?
▷Cut on the foot=
Never go into the sea barefoot. There is a high chance of getting cut by shells or broken glass that you may not have noticed. If your foot is already cut, rinse the wound with running tap water rather than seawater, as seawater may contain bacteria. Afterward, apply pressure with gauze or similar material to stop the bleeding, then seek medical attention. Sometimes, if an artery is damaged, blood can spurt out forcefully. In this case, do not panic and press around the wound near the area closest to the heart. This will help reduce bleeding.
Bruise
When you sustain a bruise, do not move the injured area; instead, apply cold compresses, compression, and elevate the area sequentially. Applying cold compresses and wrapping with a bandage reduces blood circulation, alleviating swelling and bleeding. Elevating the bruised area above the heart also helps reduce swelling and inflammation. If headache persists or worsens after a head bruise, or if you experience nausea, or if you have difficulty breathing or shortness of breath after a chest bruise, seek medical attention. There may be brain hemorrhage or lung injury.
Dyspnea
If there is a patient who has fallen into water and is experiencing difficulty breathing, bystanders should check for foreign objects in the patient's mouth and remove them before the rescue team arrives. Tilt the patient's chin upward and slightly tilt the body to the side. This helps to ensure the airway is properly secured.
Jellyfish sting=
Rinse with seawater for more than 10 minutes. Washing with tap water can cause the venom sacs that have penetrated the skin through the tentacles to burst. Gently scrape out the tentacles embedded in the skin with a plastic card. If pain persists and hives continue after treatment, seek medical attention. The venom varies depending on the type of jellyfish, and the treatment also differs, so it is good to remember the size, shape, and color of the jellyfish. To prevent jellyfish stings, avoid areas with heavy foam or many floating substances in the sea. If you find a jellyfish, the best course is to avoid it. Do not touch it and slowly move out of the water. Dead jellyfish can still be toxic, so do not touch them for safety.
▷Sunburn
Sunburn occurs when the skin is burned by sunlight. The first step is to cool the affected area with an ice pack or cold water. After a day or two, itching may become severe, and it is important not to touch the area to prevent secondary infection.
