1. Mushroom

Rich in beta-glucan that alleviates liver toxicity, and abundant in vitamin B2 and vitamin C that aid alcohol metabolism. Mushrooms are considered the best food for liver health, to the extent that nothing compares to them for liver cancer. The secret lies in beta-glucan, a polysaccharide found in all types of mushrooms. Beta-glucan enhances innate immunity, preventing cancer and stopping the growth of cancer cells.

 

2. Clam

Clam soup is the perfect accompaniment for drinking. This is because the abundant taurine in clams helps detoxify the liver. Additionally, essential amino acids such as methionine, along with niacin, histidine, vitamin B, calcium, and iron, also play a role in protecting the liver.

 

3. Clam shells

The meat of mussel shells is rich in taurine and citric acid, making it excellent for restoring weakened liver function. Additionally, not only the meat but also the shells have medicinal properties. After thoroughly washing and drying the shells, they can be roasted over charcoal and finely ground. Consuming about 3 to 4 pills with warm water each day is effective when experiencing stomach discomfort or loss of appetite.

 

4. Cassia seed

6. Kudzu root (Kalgun)

Kudzu, well known as a food good for the liver, has been used since ancient times to relieve hangovers. According to the Dongui Bogam, "Kudzu relieves intoxication and stops dryness and thirst in the mouth." Kudzu prevents the formation of lipid peroxides in the liver, alleviates alcohol-induced liver damage, protects the liver, and can enhance liver function.

 

7. Dandelion <Common Celandine>

Dandelion root is also known for containing a component called choline, which is a excellent remedy for improving liver function. It is effective in recovering gastrointestinal disorders and reducing heat toxins in the body.
