Sharing my experience and treatment review of dry eye syndrome
Today, I would like to talk about how to treat dry eye syndrome and how to prevent it in advance.
One day, I started to notice that my vision was strangely blurry and less sharp, so I went to an ophthalmology clinic at a private hospital. After receiving treatment from the doctor there, I was told there was nothing wrong, and I returned home. The doctor explained that as I age, presbyopia is gradually developing, but there were no other specific symptoms. So I went back home and resumed my daily life without any issues. Several years passed, and while looking at my laptop, I started to feel dryness and discomfort in my eyes. I decided to visit a larger hospital. After various tests and examinations, I received treatment from the doctor. The doctor said it seemed to be dry eye syndrome. There are several ways to treat dry eye syndrome, but rather than invasive procedures, it’s better to focus on preventing and effectively treating dry eyes in daily life. So, every night before bed, I warm my eyes, or I soak a towel in warm water to reduce eye fatigue, or I use various electronic devices designed to alleviate eye strain. These methods helped reduce my eye fatigue. After about a month of treatment and taking some simple medication, I returned for a follow-up. My condition had improved more than I expected, and I felt comfortable enough that I no longer needed to use eye drops in daily life. I also found that closing my eyes and meditating frequently isn’t a bad idea. Now, whenever I feel slight discomfort, I just use eye drops, and I live without much trouble. However, dry eye syndrome can return someday, so to prevent it, the oily layer inside my eyes must effectively protect the tears produced by my eyes. You don’t necessarily need invasive procedures; with effort in daily life, you can sufficiently prevent, block, and treat dry eye syndrome. I’ve shared methods that can help. Since I spend a lot of time watching TV, using a laptop, and on my phone, it’s become difficult to avoid these activities entirely. So, I recommend that you also occasionally close your eyes and meditate, or apply a warm towel for about 5 to 10 minutes before bed, or use electronic devices that reduce eye fatigue and improve eye health. As presbyopia and dry eye syndrome gradually approach, it’s important to prevent them early. Please take good care of your eyes. You can definitely overcome dry eye syndrome.
