Eyes are the window to liver health... Comfortable rest for tired eyes

Even on holidays, the eyes do not get a break. Those who go hiking or venture outdoors are somewhat less affected. During weekends, the eyes are overworked by television, computer games, and movies. The number of books to read for self-improvement has also increased. Perhaps because of this, the number of people wearing glasses has become countless. Not only adults but also children from elementary school are wearing glasses in large numbers. Once the eyes deteriorate, it is not easy to recover.

Fatigue affects eye health. In traditional Korean medicine, the eyes are also called the window to the health of the liver. When fatigue accumulates or the liver becomes weak, the eyes become blurry. It is good to take a break from eye strain for about 10 minutes after 50 minutes of work, or even just 5 minutes. Avoid excessive television watching and try to rest your eyes by closing them or frequently looking at distant mountains or the sky. The acupressure methods below can help improve eye health.

 

1. Applying pressure around the eyes

Press firmly around the eye socket with your index and middle fingers.
Gently press both the upper and lower parts of the eyeball.

 

2. Pressing the Sun Point

Press firmly on the solar points on both sides of the eyes.
Initially, press lightly, then gradually press harder.
Finally, press firmly and hold.

[TIP] Solar point - between the ear and eye, the hollowed area (temple)

 

Pressing Jeongmyeonghyeol acupoint

Press the Jingming point at the end of the inner side of the eyebrow with your thumb.
Press it.

4. Pressing above the pupil

After closing your eyes, extend your fingers over your eyeballs.
Gently press down.

 

5. Covering the eyes with the palm of the hand

Rub your palms together vigorously to warm them, then cover your eyes with your palms.
I think a warm feeling enters into the snow.
