Tip) Causes of styes and home treatment methods!
It seems that my 5-year-old daughter has had a stye for a little over six months.
At first, it got bigger and smaller, so I wondered if I was tired and didn't go to the hospital. I should have gone right awayㅠㅠ After about five months, it gradually grew larger, so I stopped by an ophthalmologist, and luckily, they said it didn't need to be cut (the fact that it was cut is usually because parents want it for cosmetic reasons, but there is no problem with eye function, so it doesn't need to be cut. Usually~).
At this age, it seems like many people go to the hospital for styes. They touch sand, handle dirty things, rub their eyes vigorously, cause injuries... and then it gets infectedㅠㅠ
Styes occur when the oil produced by the oil glands circulates but doesn't drain properly, and if the eye gets injured and bacteria enter, it can develop.
Initially, doing warm compresses for about 5-10 minutes in the morning and evening helps melt the oil (fat), allowing it to drain naturally. When we started warm compresses on our child, the drainage continued for several days, and now it has become much smaller. We are still diligently doing warm compressesㅎㅎ (After drainage, it should be wiped with a clean gauze, and antibiotic ointment should be applied for 1-2 days)
And now! I also wash my face with a cleansing foam! Because it's important to wash thoroughly^^
If you notice symptoms of a stye, be sure to try cleansing and warm compresses!^^ It will be effective~~^^
