This is a review of the ophthalmology department at Asan Medical Center.
Hello?
Recently, I have been experiencing eye problems and have been visiting the hospital.
I usually didn't pay much attention to my eyes...
Since my eyes are uncomfortable, the whole world feels uncomfortable.
I plan to take this opportunity to pay attention to my eyes and try to prevent them from getting worse even now.
I usually go about my daily life without paying much attention to my eyes, and the common issues I experienced were dry eye syndrome and allergic conjunctivitis. However, this time, I developed a problem with my retina, so I am paying a lot of attention to it.
I found out it was a retinal problem through two medical consultations, but since there aren't many issues that can occur with the eyes, I think I lack general knowledge about it.
So I am writing this to offer some help regarding eye-related issues.
I am currently visiting the ophthalmology department at Asan Medical Center.
Initially, I booked with medical staff who provided quick service to receive an accurate diagnosis, and afterward, I received treatment from a specialist professor.
I am receiving it.
Since it is a general hospital, there are specialized medical staff in each field, so it seems important to choose carefully.
There are 29 medical staff members listed just in the ophthalmology department at Asan Medical Center.
I am receiving treatment from Professor Kim Jong-gun, a retina specialist, for a retina-related condition.
Professor Kim Joong-gun specializes in age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, retinal tears, other retinal/uveitis diseases, Behçet's disease, and rare hereditary retinal disorders.
There are probably many renowned experts in the field of retina.
I think Professor Kim Jong-kyun is one of them.
It seems that many patients seek treatment for conditions such as macular degeneration and retinal occlusion.
I also started receiving treatment a month and a half ago, and I have already undergone two treatments, gradually improving.
This is the outpatient ophthalmology department at Asan Medical Center.
Since it is a general hospital with many patients, making reservations is not easy. If you plan to receive treatment at Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, it is better to make a reservation in advance and then visit a nearby local ophthalmology clinic.
We recommend making a reservation in advance in case you need to receive primary care at a local clinic and treatment at a general hospital.
As expected of a general hospital's ophthalmology department, the examination rooms and consultation rooms were well separated, and treatment rooms and procedure rooms were located throughout the facility.
Initially, after registration and entry, you will undergo basic examinations such as vision and intraocular pressure tests in this general examination room.
I have a retinal issue, so I also had a dilation test added.
How long the medication administered during the ultrasound test lasts...^^;
After a sinus examination, my eyes are very swollen and I cannot see nearby objects or text clearly.
Driving seems impossible.
They underwent the examination, waited, received treatment, and got immediate care.
I received direct injection treatment in my eye due to a retinal problem.
The Avastin injections were administered as the first dose, followed by the second one after a month. Although progress is slow, the condition is improving well.
The follow-up appointment is two months after the second treatment, and they said they will decide whether to receive the third injection based on the improvement at that time.
I hope you receive good treatment and have no issues in your daily life.
Then, I hope all CashDoc members stay healthy and take good care of themselves during the hot summer.
Thank you
