Helpful tips for protecting dry eyes and dry eye syndrome
The groom was having a hard time due to dry eye syndrome.
So I looked into it~
I usually prefer to do 3 and 4 together^^
1. Eyelid massage
In a closed-eye position, place your finger horizontally just below the lower eyelashes of the lower eyelid and lift upward. Conversely, for the upper eyelid, gently pull it downward.
2. Warm compress
Soak a towel in warm water, squeeze out the excess water, then place it over your closed eyes and keep it warm for 5 to 10 minutes. It is recommended to repeat this about twice a day.
3. Consciously blinking eyes frequently
Generally, a person blinks about 15 to 20 times per minute, but when looking at a computer or smartphone, you may suddenly realize that you are not blinking for quite a long time. To prevent this, you need to consciously close and open your eyes. This helps regenerate the tear film and keep the eyes moist and protected.
Look into the distance once in a while
Office workers and students often spend their days working or studying all day long. This causes them to focus on nearby objects for extended periods, making their eyes tense throughout the day. Therefore, it is beneficial to regularly look at distant objects to relax the eye muscles. To this end, the American Academy of Ophthalmology recommends the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at an object at least 20 feet (6 meters) away for about 20 seconds.
