Why you shouldn't be complacent just because your eyesight is good during an eye exam!!
Just because an ophthalmologist reports a visual acuity of 1.0 or higher doesn't mean your eyes are perfectly fine. Eye exams only assess "how well you can see," so they don't often detect silent, underlying problems.
Glaucoma, in particular, causes little pain in its early stages and gradually reduces vision, so patients often feel fine. Consequently, many people don't visit an ophthalmologist because they feel no discomfort, and the condition is often discovered by chance during an examination.
And, when your eyes feel heavy or tired easily, it is often not just a problem with your eyes, but also due to lack of sleep or stress. ^^ This is why you continue to feel uncomfortable even if you just put in eye drops.
Bottom line: Even if your eyes don't hurt, it's a good idea to visit an ophthalmologist once in a while to get your intraocular pressure and retina checked. Especially these days, when we spend so much time on our phones.
