(Treatment reviews and tips) Sharing my experiences in alleviating dry eye symptoms and everyday life tips ♡

Due to the hot weather and frequent use of my smartphone, my eyes feel very dry and gritty, and they also itch.. It's what is commonly called dry eye syndrome.

 

Dry eye syndrome:

A disease characterized by the loss of homeostasis in the tear film due to instability of the tear film, hyperosmolarity of tears, damage and inflammation of the ocular surface, and abnormalities of sensory nerves, accompanied by various ocular symptoms.

 

Dry eye syndrome is a very common condition that affects 7 out of 10 people. Just looking at my acquaintances, there are many people who say they have dry eyes~

 

I would like to share some helpful tips that assist in my usual dry eye treatment and relief ♡

 

  1. Use of artificial tears

 

I regularly visit the ophthalmology department.

The director always prescribes artificial tears each time without any special treatment.

The artificial tears I was prescribed are Hyaluni 0.3. They are single-use, making them convenient to use, and their higher concentration compared to other eye drops results in less stinging after application and longer-lasting moisture.

 

For those experiencing severe dryness, I recommend artificial tears. I've tried other products as well, but I find this one to feel the least dry.

  

2. Frequently blinking eyes👀

 

When looking at a smartphone, my focus decreases, blinking less often, and I feel my eyes becoming more dry.

I intentionally blink my eyes frequently to reduce dryness, and actually, this has been very helpful.

 

3. Maintaining proper humidity

 

I try to create an environment indoors that is not dry.

Hang the laundry indoors or, especially in winter, be sure to turn on the humidifier!

 

4. Intake of vitamin C supplements, blueberries, and nuts

 

Consuming antioxidant foods helps alleviate dry eye syndrome, so I eat them regularly. I also take vitamin C separately with my daily nuts.

 

I think there are many people who experience discomfort from dry eye syndrome like me.

It may be difficult to be completely cured, but with a little effort, it will be much less than before.
