백내장 더 진행되지 않게 하기 위해서는 햇빛차단이 중요해요 외출하실때 무조건 선글라스 끼시고 양산에 모자까지 쓰면 더 좋지요 잘 관리해서 수술은 안했으면 좋겠네요
My vision is cloudy and I'm curious about how to manage early cataracts.
My mom recently went to the ophthalmologist because her eyes were feeling cloudy and blurry.
My mother's eyesight isn't that bad for her middle age.
My vision is even better than before I had LASIK. When I got tested at the ophthalmologist, my vision was around 0.7-0.8.
There is no major problem with my eyesight, but they said they suspect I have a slight cataract.
They told me to just take the eye drops and come back for a re-examination in three months.
Eye examination
I underwent wide-angle fundus photography, detailed fundus examination, refraction and accommodation test, intraocular pressure measurement, anterior segment photography, and slit-lamp microscopic examination.
I went back three months later and thankfully, they said it wasn't serious enough to require surgery. They're going to manage it with eye drops for now and tell me to come back in three months.
Looking at the medicine bag, it was a cataract medicine.
I'm not sure if it's just eye drops, but they said that each bottle of eye drops is for one month, and that if things get worse after a re-examination in three months, then I might need to try a different treatment besides eye drops. I think that means that I should get regular checkups every three months.
(As a side note, three bottles of eye drops only cost 1,000 won.)
I don't know much about ophthalmology, so I don't know how to manage cataracts in the early stages.
Is there anyone who knows about early management of cataracts?
Is it okay to just manage it with eye drops?
I'm okay now, but I'm worried that things might get worse.
Is there any other way, such as lifestyle habits or nutritional supplements?
For those of you who have poor eyesight and are taking care of it, I would like to ask for tips on how to best take care of it!
