Prevent dry eye by improving your lifestyle and taking nutritional supplements.
About a year ago, I developed dry eye syndrome, so I went to the hospital for treatment and suffered for a while. I was eventually cured, but I didn't want to suffer again, so I looked up information on how to prevent dry eye syndrome. And these days, I'm improving my lifestyle and taking nutritional supplements to prevent dry eye syndrome.
There are several good lifestyle habits for preventing dry eye. First, blinking and warm compresses. Blinking is nothing special; it is simply the act of closing and opening your eyelids completely. This helps the tears in your eyes spread and circulate evenly throughout your eyes, which is said to be good for preventing dry eye. Warm compresses improve the function of the meibomian glands and remove bad oils accumulated in your eyelids, which is good for preventing dry eye. Also, ultraviolet rays have a negative effect on your eyes. When you are outdoors, it is good to wear sunglasses or a hat with a long brim to block ultraviolet rays as much as possible. I also try to maintain an appropriate level of humidity at home by using a humidifier. This is because it is good for your home to not be too dry. In addition to humidity in your home, moisture in your body is also important, so I try to drink at least 2 liters of water a day. And the most important thing for preventing dry eye is to not let your eyes get tired and to let your eyes rest for an appropriate amount of time. So, even when I work on the computer or look at my phone, I always work for 30 minutes and take a 10-minute break. Lastly, I also take omega-3 and lutein supplements. Omega-3 increases tear production and maintains the tear layer for longer, which is good for preventing dry eye.
Lutein helps prevent dry eye by stimulating the secretion of mucus in the eyes, which keeps the eyes moist. These are the things I do to prevent dry eye.
