[Worry] Is presbyopia already setting in... Am I already that age...

It is said that the onset of presbyopia symptoms is gradually occurring at an earlier age.
They say it starts in the mid-40s, or if late, in the 50s...

Considering age, presbyopia seems natural... Sigh... It's already like this.

Maybe it's because I look at my phone too often and too much..

I think I need to take care of it ㅜ ㅜ I should change my lifestyle habits for eye health.

There is a self-diagnosis method for presbyopia.

1. Age 40 or older.
The small text appears blurry and out of focus.
Letters that are clearly visible under bright lighting appear blurry in dim lighting.
I can see it.
If I read a little book, my eyes get tired and my head hurts.
I have difficulty concentrating when reading five books or newspapers.
6 My eyes are often blurry, as if foggy, and I frequently rub them.
It is difficult to look at a smartphone screen for a long time.

It's difficult.
When looking at something far away and suddenly seeing words up close, my vision becomes blurry and I get a headache.
At 10 PM, the eye pain worsens, making it difficult to drive.
It is difficult to work at a close distance of about 25 to 30 cm, such as threading a needle.
At first, it appears clear, but gradually becomes blurry.
If you meet 7 or more out of the 12 items, you should suspect presbyopia. Especially if items 2, 8, or 9 are present, regardless of the number, it is advisable to visit an ophthalmologist for an accurate diagnosis.

It is said that no one can avoid presbyopia, but is there a way to delay it even a little?

Using smartphones effectively / Protecting against ultraviolet rays / Being cautious of cigarette smoke / Quitting smoking
Be cautious of dry eye syndrome / Drink water frequently / Take comfortable breaks / Adequate sleep is essential
Check lighting / Pay attention to indoor environment / Frequently eat blueberries, carrots, spinach, and tomatoes
Eat eggs daily, consume nuts / do eye exercises / do eye massages
Perform eye twitch prevention exercises / Have regular eye exams

 

There are many things we can do regularly. I will try to keep practicing consistently so that I can delay it a little longer.
