Stomach cancer also ranks first in cancer incidence rates.

I believe that our people's eating habits and ingredients influence us that much, and I try to be careful too. When daily routines and body rhythms are disrupted, it becomes easier to get sick.

 

Especially when eating late at night frequently or experiencing stress

First, my stomach reacted.

 

I felt a burning sensation inside my stomach, discomfort to the point of chest pain, and sometimes vomited while sleeping.

 

These symptoms are called gastroesophageal reflux disease.

What are the symptoms of acid reflux esophagitis?

 

Chest pain

Pain that feels like pulling from the upper part of the chest

 

▪️Heartburn and pain

When stomach acid irritates the esophagus due to reflux, it causes heartburn and pain.

 

Discomfort in the stomach

Discomfort inside the esophagus after meals is common, and symptoms can worsen especially when lying down.

 

It matched my symptoms perfectly!

I also had an endoscopy and was told to reduce spicy foods, eat blandly, cut down on late-night snacks, and avoid stress. I know this is the right answer, but I find it hard to change!

Preventive measures~~~

 

▪️Smoking and alcohol consumption: Smoking and excessive alcohol intake act as factors that promote the reflux of gastric acid, so quitting smoking and abstaining from alcohol are recommended.

I am abstaining from alcohol this week 😃

 

Obesity

Obesity increases intra-abdominal pressure, which affects the reflux of stomach acid and irritates the esophagus, making individuals more susceptible to various adult diseases and illnesses. I am exercising daily by walking steadily to escape obesity.

Inappropriate eating habits

Excessive food intake, spicy foods

Stimulating foods like caffeine can worsen symptoms of acid reflux, so I avoid late-night snacks, finish eating at least 8 hours before sleeping, and try to keep my stomach comfortable!

I am trying to prepare healthy meals with natural foods rather than spicy foods, and I am gradually incorporating seasonal ingredients and seasonal fruits.

 

▪️Improving eating habits is actually the most important.

The most difficult to practice, but improving eating habits by consuming an appropriate amount of food and avoiding spicy foods seems to play the most important role in preventing reflux esophagitis!

 

Maintain a healthy weight through weight management

Prevent an increase in intra-abdominal pressure

 

Stress management is essential!

Stress stimulates the secretion of stomach acid, so proper stress management is necessary.

Light walking, meditation, and alone time

It is essential to have time to empty your mind.

 

This makes me reflect on my daily life.

What was my eating habit like?

Am I currently overweight? Am I obese?

How much do I smoke and drink?

Caffeinated beverages

Avoid caffeinated drinks like coffee, tea, and soda, as they stimulate stomach acid secretion.

 

Spicy food

Avoid foods containing spicy spices, as they can irritate the esophagus and worsen symptoms.

 

▪️Alcohol

Excessive alcohol consumption can stimulate gastric acid secretion and cause reflux, so caution is necessary.

 

It's all obvious, but it's a world where it's hard to keep them!

The most basic, from the very beginning, with a beginner's mindset.

I experienced extreme stress and binge eating for a while, which caused my weight to increase by over 30%. I kept vomiting at night, felt a burning sensation in my stomach, and had a pain as if my chest was on fire. I visited the internal medicine department, took medication, underwent an endoscopy, and went through difficult treatments.

The internal medicine director said that even if I have stomach cancer, it wouldn't be unusual.

So, ah... I realize that I have been overworking and stressing myself too much... As I became aware of this, I reduced my coffee intake, decreased my food portions, stopped enjoying alcohol casually, and my stomach has recovered quite steadily. The important thing is ❤️an unbreakable heart❤️

I am currently managing my weight and creating days to become healthier.

 

The root of all illnesses is stress.

Stress > Depression > Binge Eating > Excessive Drinking > Insomnia > Obesity
