I, who frequently suffer from indigestion, was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer during a health checkup. I have been experiencing heartburn and pain due to excess stomach acid. I will share medications and good foods that have helped me during treatment.

 

✅ The occurrence and causes of gastric ulcers

Most cases of onset are caused by bacteria.

The causes include alcohol consumption, smoking, taking certain medications, stress, and negative emotions.

You don't drink or smoke, so is it stress?

Stress increases stomach acid secretion, which lowers gastrointestinal function and is a risk factor for ulcer development.

Could it be the orthopedic medication I took because my finger hurt at the right time?

Even anti-inflammatory painkillers can be a cause...

 

✅ Diagnosis

Whenever I frequently experienced indigestion, I continued taking digestive medicine each time.

While suffering from indigestion, I received a diagnosis of gastric ulcer from the comprehensive health checkup at KMI, which is conducted annually at my workplace, and I was initially prescribed medication for four weeks.

 

✅ Symptoms and re-prescription

They say my weight is decreasing, but I have always had a big appetite and never lacked for a good meal year-round, so I just eat and then complain about discomfort.

The prescribed ulcer medication only helped when I took it, but the pain and stomach discomfort persisted, causing persistent heartburn, so I kept taking the medication repeatedly.

 

As a result, I ended up finishing the medication early, so I visited my regular internal medicine clinic to inform them of the diagnosis of gastric ulcer from the health checkup and had to get a new prescription.

But only when I take the same medication, I feel okay again, and the pain and burning sensation repeat. No matter how many hospitals I visit, I don't get better.

 

✅ The process I went through to treat my stomach ulcer

 

Cabbage is good for stomach ulcers, so with Gaviscon.

I took Norumo, which is said to be good for excess stomach acid.

Norumo is a granule, but it had a slightly burning sensation.

Take the ulcer medication three times a day at the scheduled times.

② Cavedzin should be taken once a day, 2 tablets before bedtime.

Norumo was taken every time she experienced symptoms of pain and indigestion.

I made fresh apple and carrot juice and drank it every morning 30 minutes before breakfast. Since it was said to help with heartburn, I think it was helpful.

I also occasionally ate fresh pineapple.

I have quit coffee.

 

After about a month of taking it, the pain and heartburn disappeared.

I have been continuously prescribed and taking medication for gastric ulcers for a certain period.

Apple and carrot juice, because apples and carrots are expensive, until last year, the whole family drank fresh juice every morning for over 10 years.

 

As I spent time doing that, it seemed like I was fully recovered.

 

At the next health check-up, it was only noted that there were traces of having had a stomach ulcer, but it was said to be cured.

From then on, I started exercising to improve digestion and ate food more carefully.

7 foods that are good for gastric ulcers

      

1. Pineapple 🍍
