크론병은 내시경으로만 알 수 있나요? 궁금하네요

I had an endoscopy due to Crohn's disease symptoms.
First of all, you need to prepare yourself mentally from the day you schedule the endoscopy. It starts with questions like, "What should I avoid eating this time?" and fasting... That's right. Fasting is not exactly a favorite word for Crohn's disease patients. The fasting period feels like time has stopped, and when you're told not to eat, your human instinct makes you want to eat more. Anyway, during the fast, I only drank water and lay in bed, telling myself, "I will become truly strong," as a personal vow.
And finally, the day of the endoscopy! When I arrived at the hospital and asked the nurse nervously, she said, "Oh, don't worry. It'll be over soon." Inside, I wondered, "Is that really true?" but I had already entered an inescapable path.
When I entered the endoscopy room, there was a friendly phrase saying "Please lie down!" along with an atmosphere that felt like being at a spa (?). In the blink of an eye, the medication was administered, and before I could even ask, "When will I wake up?" I was already out. When I woke up, I heard "It's already over!" and felt a bit of relief and disappointment, as the endoscopy had come to an end.
The result? I still have to wait, but I'm relieved to hear there are no major issues for now. The endoscopy is over, but the fight against Crohn's disease will continue. Still, we should always live positively and cheerfully!
If you have someone about to undergo an endoscopy, don't worry too much! After it's over, you'll think, "It wasn't such a big deal after all." See you again at the next endoscopy! (Well, I hope I don't have to do endoscopies too often...😅)
