Can bile duct abnormalities cause bile duct cancer or cholangitis?

I had a blood test a month and a half ago, and they said an abnormal finding was detected and told me to go to the radiology department quickly.

I had a CT scan and went to the university hospital with the results.

It is suspected that there is an abnormality in the bile duct, such as bile duct cancer or cholangitis.

In this case, they say you need to undergo a biopsy to be sure.

Biopsy of the bile duct is said to have a poor prognosis.

Do I really need to have a biopsy?

The doctors explain so fearfully that even getting tests is frightening.
