A few years ago, after eating chicken gizzards, I experienced severe abdominal pain and diarrhea the next day. I never realized how deadly enteritis could be. I want to share the methods I learned and practiced to recover quickly from enteritis.
1. Drink warm barley tea frequently
When you have enteritis, severe abdominal pain and intense diarrhea make it really difficult.
The most important thing to recover quickly from enteritis is to properly rehydrate.
Drinking warm barley tea seems to be the best.
Some people mix a little salt into sports drinks or water to drink, but the safest option is to frequently drink warm barley tea to prevent dehydration.
Fast for about a day.
If you have enteritis, it is good to fast for about a day and continue drinking warm barley tea.
Since the intestines are upset and cannot digest properly, eating food in this situation will make the intestines more strained.
3. Eating rice porridge or plain white rice after one day
After fasting for one day following enteritis
Start the next day's first meal with soft foods.
A little bit of porridge or plain white rice is good.
It's better not to include anything else.
4. Warm the abdomen with a hot pack or warm compress
If your stomach is warm, it can help with recovery, so please apply a hot pack or use warm compresses.
Please take a sufficient rest.
It is best to rest sufficiently until your body recovers.
6. Be cautious with food until the enteritis completely heals.
It is best to eat soft, easily digestible foods until your enteritis completely heals.
Milk or yogurt, vegetables high in fiber, raw vegetables
It's best to avoid spicy and salty foods, carbonated drinks, and flour-based foods.
7. Foods that are good to eat when you have gastroenteritis
After about 2 to 3 days of having enteritis and starting to feel a bit better
You can gradually start a regular diet.
Steamed egg custard that is easy to digest, tofu, and cooked soft vegetables
Cooked cabbage, broccoli, bananas, and pumpkin porridge are good.
This was about the methods I practiced and the dietary approaches I followed when I was suffering from enteritis.
I think it's best to maintain thorough personal hygiene to avoid getting enteritis.
If you experience dehydration symptoms or persistent high fever due to enteritis, you should seek hospital treatment. Also, infants, the elderly, and those with underlying health conditions must definitely receive hospital care.
