Hiccups last for a long time.

There are days when hiccups start and last for a long time.

It's not always the case, but sometimes it happens.

After holding my breath and drinking water to calm down, I felt okay, but after some time, the hiccups started again.

I also do this all day long in this way.

Hiccups are bothersome because they are difficult to endure and make it hard to do other things.
