(Concern)(Counseling) It must be reflux esophagitis, right?
Hello
I am a 31-year-old mother of a 7-year-old daughter.
I suffered throughout the pregnancy from morning sickness and nausea until childbirth.
It was so bad that I couldn't even swallow saliva or water; I would force myself to eat, but eventually I would vomit, and sometimes even vomit blood, collapsing from exhaustion. During the two months when morning sickness was at its worst, I kept going back and forth between being admitted and discharged from the hospital.
Maybe because I went through so much hardship back then, even when I was full-term, I kept experiencing acid reflux and my stomach constantly felt burning and painful.
Even now that my child is 7 years old, eating greasy foods or bread makes their stomach feel very burning. They often can't sleep without medication that reduces stomach acid secretion.
I never lie down immediately after eating or anything like that. I move right away after eating, and even when I sit upright properly, I still experience it.
Do I need to go to the hospital for proper treatment for this? Or can I just continue to improve my eating habits...? I also want to have bread for brunch in the morning like others and eat sweet potatoes during my diet...
But when it comes to actually going to the hospital, I hesitate because I'm scared. Are there others like me who produce too much stomach acid and have an unbearably burning sensation? If so, how do you usually manage it?
