Prevent constipation with magnesium and probiotics
I recently suffered from constipation. Although I am fine now, I do not want to go through it again, so I realized I need to pay attention to preventing it. That is why I looked for and purchased supplements that are effective for preventing constipation, and I have been taking them. I plan to continue taking these supplements consistently for the time being to prevent constipation.
I am taking two supplements to prevent constipation. One is magnesium, and the other is probiotics.
First, regarding magnesium, I didn't know at first that it was good for constipation, but I heard that it is actually one of the medications widely used to prevent constipation.
Magnesium is said to act as an osmotic laxative, increasing water content in the large intestine and softening stool to promote bowel movements. Magnesium oxide, in particular, is said to be even more effective for patients with mild constipation.
Magnesium oxide has many other health benefits, so taking it for general health is fine anyway. Since it is said to be effective in preventing constipation, I thought there was no reason not to take it. So, I am taking one magnesium oxide tablet every day.
Another supplement taken to prevent constipation is probiotics.
Probiotics are said to increase beneficial bacteria and suppress harmful bacteria in the gut to maintain a healthy intestinal environment, form serotonin involved in regulating intestinal motility, and contribute to the production of short-chain fatty acids.
Constipation is a condition where bowel movements become sluggish, slowing down the movement of food. It is said that probiotics are effective in preventing constipation because they help normalize bowel movements by regulating the gut microbiome.
So lately, I have been taking magnesium oxide and probiotics every day. My bowel movements have become much smoother than before, and I haven't experienced any symptoms of constipation at all, so I plan to continue taking these two supplements to prevent constipation and maintain my health.
