Treating reflux esophagitis by eating foods that help with reflux esophagitis

I developed reflux esophagitis (GERD) due to my poor eating habits, including frequent overeating and a lifestyle of lying down immediately after eating because I was tired. Sometimes, I would feel chest pain, but I just ignored it, and the GERD worsened, making it difficult for me. To treat GERD, I changed my lifestyle and ate foods that helped with GERD, gradually improving my condition.


First, to treat my reflux esophagitis, I designed my diet around fruits and vegetables. I chose alkaline or low-acid fruits like bananas, kiwis, melons, apples, and pears. These foods aided digestion, neutralized stomach acid, and helped reduce esophageal reflux. I also ate plenty of vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, spinach, and sweet potatoes.


Second, to treat my reflux esophagitis, I cut out all carbonated beverages, coffee, and tea and focused my diet on aloe vera, low-acid fruit juices, and lean proteins like chicken breast and tofu. I personally found aloe vera to be particularly effective, so I consistently consumed 100% organic aloe vera from Geoje Island. After eating only foods that helped with reflux esophagitis for over four months, my symptoms significantly improved.


Third, I took digestive enzymes and probiotics daily to treat my reflux esophagitis. Probiotics were helpful because they can help reduce inflammation in the esophagus and gastrointestinal tract. Fourth, because reflux esophagitis can recur at any time, I try to live a life where I lie down after a meal has been somewhat digested and avoid overeating.
