Reviews of patients with reflux esophagitis treated by improving eating and lifestyle habits

Due to my eating and lifestyle habits, I was experiencing increasingly severe stomach pain and acid reflux. I visited a local internal medicine clinic and was diagnosed with advanced gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). I took acid suppressant medication for about two months and, through changes to my eating and lifestyle habits, gradually cured my GERD.

The symptoms of reflux esophagitis gradually worsened over time, leading to severe chest pain that I suspected was a heart problem. I thought reflux esophagitis was a minor ailment, but the symptoms worsened. Eventually, I felt something like acid reflux in my throat, and the pain in my chest when I tried to chew made eating difficult.

So, to treat my reflux esophagitis, I first abstained from alcohol, coffee, and fatty foods, all of which negatively affect the esophageal sphincter. I also avoided overeating and ate small portions of food over time. After a meal, no matter how tired I was, I made it a habit to wait at least an hour before lying down. This, in turn, helped me treat my reflux esophagitis.

And to treat reflux esophagitis, I mainly ate soft foods that are easy on the stomach, such as bananas, tofu, steamed eggs, cabbage, and oatmeal.

I also took probiotics and regularly drank things like cabbage juice to increase the number of beneficial gut bacteria and improve intestinal and digestive function to treat reflux esophagitis. I consistently consumed Danish Lactobacillus Story and Young Farmer Cabbage Juice, and I believe they were effective in treating reflux esophagitis.

And to treat my reflux esophagitis, I drank chamomile tea and rooibos tea. Both were caffeine-free and had anti-inflammatory and sedative effects that helped soothe the esophageal and stomach lining.
